Las estrategias de RECONOCIMIENTO” son muchas, tienen que ser adecuadas a la edad, características del grupo, estilo de trabajo del docente.

   Lo que me motivó a escribir este artículo es reflexionar sobre un tema que, a mi criterio es relevante. Si no acompañamos los cambios, quedarán desfasajes en nuestras prácticas. Además pensé en la cercanía a los “Awards” de fin de año.

Siempre elegimos las mismas categorías. Tomamos en cuenta promedios y un Standard de rendimiento que es el más alto.

   ¿Reflejamos así el “éxito” en el desempeño del año? Sé que tenemos el “Super effort”. Generalmente se lo presenta como “el alumno, que, realizó un gran esfuerzo, aunque no alcanzó notas tan altas” ( algo así).

   Aunque difiero con la presentación creo que es con el que más coincido, ya que apunta a una actitud mantenida durante todo el ciclo escolar.

   Pensé que otras categorías o criterios, pueden mostrar, reflejar mejor el “TIPO DE ESTUDIANTE” al que apuntamos en nuestra práctica diaria y con las que me identifico más.

1)      Independent student:

 Children who can choose and apply strategies by their own, being aware of their learning style, being able of gaining knowledge and helping others achieve academic objectives. Children who are ahead instructions and know how to behave without being retold.

2)      Participative;

As I´ve mentioned above, a student who participates in class, shows self-control, interest, and will LEARN, just because he is involved in the lesson. All his contributions will help mates increase their knowledge.

3)      Responsible:

As simple as focusing on children who ALWAYS do their homework efficiently and hand in assignments respecting deadlines.

4) Respectful of VALUES:

Children who can hold and foster spiritual values like: SYMPATHY, PATIENCE, FLEXIBILITY, etc, throughout the year, enriching the group of students with appropriate attitudes.
